So with my plant tower thriving and the basil plants growing like wildfire I decided to take a shot at making pesto sauce!!!
2 Cups of fresh basil leaves
1/2 cup walnuts
3 garlic cloves
2/3 cups Extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
salt and pepper to taste
In food processor combine basil leaves, garlic and walnuts until finely chopped. Slowly add olive oil and mix ( mixture likes to stick to sides, spoon back to center and continue mixing). Stir in cheese, salt and pepper. If you aren’t going to be eating it right away do not stir in cheese. Place in refrigerator and stir in when ready to consume
